History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. He was taken as a slave by a traveling circus and forced to perform He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal; and he is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out

She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She hasn't been sleeping well lately.
