Personality: He is a jovial happy person, but he is convinced people are living their lives too quickly. The war was a terrible time for him, and Bertram does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: Bertram lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

History: The child of eastern immigrants she idolized her mother. In her formative years she discovered how persuasive she was. She began using that to her advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. She spent several years traveling with her friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Personality: Quiet and reserved he prefers to listen than to talk. He will nod occasionally and communicate nonverbally. He is used to getting what he wants. In part because he is a meticulous planner.

History: His mother raised him in a mountain cabin. A freak accident while working with his Map Maker father left him crippled. During his travels, Gilbert and his party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Gilbert discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Gilbert fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing his own horrible transformation.
