History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Joan grew up listening to her mother's many stories. She worked as a nervous Bookbinder and found it very stressful. She spent several years traveling with her friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Personality: She is unhospitable to her core. Her small house has "No trespassing" Signs all over it. She moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep her interest for a month it is impressive.

History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. Her parents enrolled her in a Paladin school at a young age so that she could practice her martial talents. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.
