He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Her mother taught her the rudiments of the Crown-heir arts, while her father instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.

Personality: He likes to fabricate stories about his past exploits and how crazy he is, but in actuality he is rather bland. He pushes his goals aggressively. He is also a coward if confronted.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. Cursed with unlife at a very young age, Bernard has worked very hard to control his curse. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister; and doesn't want to be a locksmith and was forced into it by his family
