A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. After a long history of fighting, Katherine and her spouse have recently divorced.

History: He was born on a small isolated farm. His father took him hunting and taught him how to get in the mind of other creatures. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

History: Manfred hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. Ostracized due to the necromantic powers of his oldest sister, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Humans became a terror of the countryside. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.
