History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. While he appears to be a normal Human, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. Brilliant and gifted she never wanted to apply herself. She was granted necromantic powers by her dying brother.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and she is compelled to act according to her religious beliefs

Description: Dark and lean, she is a relatively plain woman. She wears an entirely yellow suit with green socks and a vest with buckled shoes. She wears a deerstalker hat to cover her moderate length blonde hair. Her eyes are likewise brown. Her teeth are yellowed and unaligned.

Personality: She is irascible and easily irritated. She refers to her adoptive father for almost all things she is unsure about, which are numerous. She is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: A child with a great deal of dancing talent her parents made sure she got the chance to thrive. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Mortician. She's also a talented Map Maker, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: Regain custody of her daughter; and to be a map maker again

Description: Runty and weak-looking, he wears a shirt and pants that are bristling with pockets overflowing with maps, compasses, and other navigational equipment. His hair is red and very short. His green eyes dart around the room hyper actively observing anyone and anything.

Personality: He is happy with his job as a Shoemaker. He turns his eye from what people do, preferring to live and let live. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of giants may trigger it at times.

History: He got into the Shoemaker business at a young age. He worked as a nervous Shoemaker and found it very stressful. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the east; and several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge
