He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: She got into the Marshal business at a young age. Like her mother and her sister before her, after school she went straight into learning to become a Marshal. She has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Painter. She hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

Hubert was born on a far northern plains where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Painter. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.
