History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. Bertram liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Shane grew up listening to his mother's many stories. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

History: She was born into a rich family. She helped her father out around the business and became quite the natural. She struck the Sage job and began her own company from there.

History: She comes from a rich northern family. Through the years after Adelaide was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Adelaide's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
