History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Theobald grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Theobald. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. Like his mother and his sister before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Mayor. He was granted necromantic powers by his dying sister.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. Through the years after Anselm was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Anselm's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Herbalist for hire.

History: A powerful slaver made him what he is. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
