History: Born to a Bellfounder, his father struggled to pay the bills. In his 17th year, his parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Bertram alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

Motivation: He wants revenge against brigands; and to reunite with his old friends

History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. When the war came and ruined her parents she was left adrift. She was a hard woman then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. She hasn't been sleeping well lately.
