History: Trained by her mother for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. From her teen years she was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on her. She has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Barber. She hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

Description: A woman with a calm yet intense air about her, she wears a blue costume with the symbols of death on her torso. Her auburn hair is cut short with large spiked bangs in the front. Her eyes are gray and she is always smoking a pipe.

Personality: While she acts the brute, she is far gentler than she would appear. The occasional robbery is her preferred attention getting crime, but she mainly uses her means for meeting her own perverse desires.

History: Alice lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Being born in the east, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the east for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way north. She ran away from her former home and has been making her living as a Fortune-teller for the past few years.

Motivation: She has comitted a past crime that haunts her to this day.

Description: She wears a well pressed and immaculate suit (or dress). Her Stetson hat is riddled with cuts and holes. Judging by the bloodshot nature of her eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine she has not slept for days.

Personality: She's a bit of a prankster. She knows she is clumsy and seen as such and will often feign amnesia after injury. She does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for her. She lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Mary was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Personality: He can speak with the recently deceased. He is an amazing painter.

History: He was born in the north. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: An old rival family wants him found; and his relatives are trying to arrange a marriage
