Personality: He barks his statements quickly and with little fuss. He prefers small words and is at his heart utilitarian. He has a hair trigger and will fly into rage over the tiniest perceived slights.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when drow swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by drow, and he desires to right it; and someone believes him a fraud

Personality: She fancies herself a trickster and likes to rely on her wits to carry the day. She cares for her older siblings and likes to be recognized by them. She has no love for corruption and racketeering and views those as crimes of the highest magnitude.

History: She was born in the south, but her parents moved at a very young age to the west. Since her father passed away years ago, her mother had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. She has since lost track of the people in her past.

Motivation: Regain custody of her son; and wants to raise her children well

He is bundled in multiple layers and is prepared for a desert trek wearing a turban that covers his face most of the time. Personality: He is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of his strength. He works very hard to maintain that gentleness. Dustin is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his brothers into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Dustin was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. Cursed with vampirism at a very young age, Dustin has worked very hard to control his curse. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Carpenter and was forced into it by his family; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion

Personality: She speaks before she thinks and is too direct. She is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes her no end of embarrassment.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Katherine was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Over the years she perfected her riding and shooting skills. She bought a trident and has really upped her game hunting, due to her understanding of decoy and ambush.

Motivation: To prove her worth to the world; and she wants random interesting trinkets and junk, hates to throw anything away
