History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. One day when Bertram was young, his father was sewing while trying to overcome the flu, when suddenly his father dropped to the ground dead. His father had died from a severe disease that was unknown to the village doctor. Bertram was heart-stricken from the event, and his mother started working long hours to provde for them. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. She sought a place where she would be rewarded solely on the merits of her skills. This search led her directly into Bowyer work with an outfit from a few towns over. Bowyer work suited her well, and with each successful project, she earned more gold and more respect from her peers. She's also a talented Spice Merchant, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. After a long history of fighting, Adelard and his spouse have recently divorced.
