History: He was born to a criminal king-pin and mafia family His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Simon. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Jacoba embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. She is underhanded and not above using her wealth and body to get others to do her bidding.

History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. Jacoba was a troubled youth. She spent her days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent her evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Jacoba decided she wanted neither the life of her father nor that of the evil petty criminals she associated with.
