History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. He took after his mother in leading caravans. Because they were valued, his mother taught him to defend himself. When his mother died while fighting brigands, the young Gilbert began to lead the lost caravan. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Personality: He resents people who mock his appearance or him, so he has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. He takes great joy in being the best Beggar in town.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his father. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a son. He tends to his Beggar job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.
