History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. She always admired divine-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. She inherited the family business which she has now maintained for 12 years.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. He has had some formal dancing training, and achieved minor success. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

Personality: He is not truly malevolent, but he is obsessed with music. He constantly tries to fill his life with music. His brief stint in the army gave him the idea he was invincible and that he is the toughest man alive.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Gilbert was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His family was turned out during the war. He and his family wandered east to less war torn lands. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and he is unsatisfied with his job

Personality: She likes to brag about her accomplishments and constantly tries to beat others to the punch. She believes the world needs to unite to get rid of giants once and for all.

History: Born in the south her family was never financially stable. In her 13th year, her parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Elysande alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by giants, and she desires to right it; and someone believes her a fraud
