Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Roland is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: Roland lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He now spends his time doing works of charity.

Personality: This woman loves music and to teach people music more than just about anything. She does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for her. She lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: She was raised in a forest tribe. A few years later when the north was not economically sound they moved to her current location. She leaves a trail of broken hearts and full pockets wherever she goes.

Motivation: She uses money and sex appeal to get what she needs.

Description: Dark and lean, she is a relatively plain woman. She wears just a blue suit. Her brown hair is unkempt and raggedy. Her hazel eyes show the wear and tear of someone lonely with a great burden to carry.

Personality: She has a massive crush on the younger sibling of the Sage who has hired her part-time. She is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes her no end of embarrassment.

History: Born in the south to a Sage, Joan learned a great deal about her mother's area of expertise. A gifted student she started as a Priest, but she got bored and became a Sage. She tends to her Sage job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations she has.

Motivation: Wants a kiss.
