Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. He is susceptible to being scared and is in actuality easily frightened. He likes to tell stories.

History: He was born into a rich family. In his 14th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Personality: He is happy with his job as a Barrister. He turns his eye from what people do, preferring to live and let live. He also hits on women, regardless of circumstances.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. He has had some formal writing training, and achieved minor success. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Barrister.

Motivation: He has a crush on the local Fortune-teller.

Personality: She shows great sympathy to all travelers. She's the type to buy drinks and listen to their stories. Her brief stint in the army gave her the idea she was invincible and that she is the toughest woman alive.

History: A child with a great deal of poetry talent her parents made sure she got the chance to thrive. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Mercenary. She's also a talented Detective, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: Balancing her hectic life and new Mercenary responsibilities is difficult; and wants to open a new tavern

Personality: She is calm most of the time but flees social interaction. She is a ruthless business woman, a trait she acquired from her father.

History: When she was but 8 years old her parents immigrated from the east. She was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. She became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: Retire the richest woman in the east; and meet up once more with her childhood friend
