He prefers to carry a scimitar, but if one is not available he will default to his spear. He sports a long red beard, and similarly colored long hair. His hazel eyes have a joyful gleam in them most of the time.

Personality: He trusts no one. He is not readily capable for forgiveness and his ire never leaves him. Chad is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his brothers into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: He was born in the west, but his parents moved at a very young age to the east. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the west; and an old rival family wants him found

Personality: She is quite rude, and likes to deride her opponents skill and shout insults at them. She is fiercely devoted to her father, and views her father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating her from her legal half-sister.

History: Born in a small village she learned the ways of the warrior from her father. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. During her travels, Adelaide and her party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Adelaide discovered the rest of her party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Adelaide fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing her own horrible transformation.

History: Her martial talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, her parents had her trained. Ostracized due to the martial powers of her oldest brother, she and her siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Humans became a terror of the countryside. She has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Motivation: She feels that her past leaves her morally obligated to help; and she has decided she is irredeemable
