Personality: She is a melancholic, but persistent worker. She resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. She loves her children and doesn't want them to worry about her. She loves to share her writing with anyone who is interested.

History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. Her father disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her father, she was betrayed dozens of times. By chance she met her brother recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Navigator and was forced into it by her family.

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Tailor hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She was granted necromantic powers by her dying brother.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. A serious injury left his father unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm father. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Motivation: Money/treasure; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army
