History: Born in the south to a Barber, Mary learned a great deal about her mother's area of expertise. In her youth she was part of a gang. She got caught, but did not rat out her comrades and served her time in prison. She has gone from town to town till she finds a spot where she can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: Balancing her hectic life and new Barber responsibilities is difficult; and she has comitted a past crime that haunts her to this day
