History: She was raised happily, as a normal child born to her mother and father. Her mother taught her the rudiments of the Scribe arts, while her father instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. Vicky was orphaned to a temple shortly after her birth. She was raised by the temple staff to care always for others above herself and to hold her god always in her heart. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

History: The child of eastern immigrants he idolized his mother. Heward was born on a far eastern plains where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Map Maker. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Judging by the bloodshot nature of his eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine he has not slept for days.

Personality: He is irascible and easily irritated. He lacks moral complications. He does what he is told to by employers but not much else. He spends his money on whatever he fancies at the time.

History: Gifted from a young age, Adelard studied abroad. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: Wants to open a new tavern; and balancing his hectic life and new sailor responsibilities is difficult
