One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Motivation: He's looking for his big break; and balancing his hectic life and new sage responsibilities is difficult

Personality: He hates Humans with a passion. As such he is filled with self loathing. He loves being with his children and actually smiles when they are around. He would do anything for them. He dislikes his ex a great deal.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Miles grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Miles. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

He did whatever it took for him to survive. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

Motivation: He has comitted a past crime that haunts him to this day.
