History: Gerard was born the youngest of three triplets. A serious injury left his father unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm father. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

He is constantly adorned with expensive silk clothing, often dyed in bright black and red, and wears rings and necklaces with large, colorful gems. His brown hair is heavily combed to the right. He wears crescent spectacles with a black brim.

Personality: He likes to make people angry or surprised. He is a thrill seeker, he laughs at people and throws down challenges. He is highly competitive and combative.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army
