Personality: He considers himself the protector of his home. He feels this is his duty and calling. He is fiercely devoted to his mother, and views his mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-sister.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the west. He found a children's book about a Human Paladin who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. Some 2 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Kyle never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his son whom he trained as his mother had trained him before.

Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister

Personality: He is filled with cunning. He likes to feign weakness letting people think he is weak. His home and work are filled with various knick knacks he has acquired through the years. He cares a great deal for his adopted teenage daughter.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. As a very small child his family refused to pay dues to a local crime lord, who ordered them killed. His mother, a somewhat powerful mage sought to protect him and cast a teleportation spell that whisked him away. By chance he met his brother recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions.

Personality: She can speak with the recently deceased. Animals are drawn to her, and she is able to talk to them.

History: When she was but 3 years old her parents immigrated from the south. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.

Motivation: Wants to open a new tavern; and sabotage a competitor
