History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. In his youth he was a Bounty Hunter, and wanted to be a champion fighter when he grew up. He was working during a period of war, and as one of the natives he lived in fear of joining the others in being slaughtered. He saw the brutality and swore off his fighting aspirations, taking his younger brother on his back after seeing his parents die, and fled the country. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: She was born into a rich family. She inherited a moderately successful company from her mother. Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. She now mingles about in high society.

History: From birth she was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. She worked as a nervous Tanner and found it very stressful. She tends to her Tanner job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations she has.

Motivation: She is compelled to act according to her religious beliefs; and many brigands want her driven away
