She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. After a long history of fighting, Jacoba and her spouse have recently divorced.

History: She comes from a rich southern family. In her 17th year, her parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Sarah alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Motivation: Many gnolls want her driven away.
