History: Born in the east to a Bowyer, Galiena learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. Some 6 years later her spouse died after the birth of her daughter. Heartbroken, Galiena never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her daughter whom she trained as her father had trained her before.

History: She is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. Through the years after Helen was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Helen's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. By chance he met his sister recently and the two have been together since.
