History: Ernest hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. In his 11th year, his parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Ernest alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by gnolls. Ernest was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the gnolls.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Katherine was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Katherine was born on a far southern desert where she grew up under the tutelage of her mother, an expert Roofer. She left for the south, certain she would find work there.

History: Frederick was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Sellsword hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.
