His father taught him the rudiments of the Fortune-teller arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Fortune-teller work with an outfit from a few towns over. Fortune-teller work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Fortune-teller for the past few years.

Personality: Richard speaks confidently about a variety of topics with grace. He is clearly well-traveled and educated. He lacks moral complications. He does what he is told to by employers but not much else. He spends his money on whatever he fancies at the time.

History: He was born on a small isolated farm. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the north were limited. He's also a talented Crown-heir, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: To be a Crown-heir again; and he feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world

Personality: He runs his personal life as if detached from it. He organizes appointments and outings based on perceived benefits he will get from it. He keeps company with all sorts of races to see how they think and challenge minds foreign to his own.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Theodoric grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Theodoric. Recently he has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

Motivation: He has comitted a past crime that haunts him to this day; and a rival would like him out of the picture

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. Being born in the north, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the north for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way east. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her sons to still be retired.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Sailor and was forced into it by her family; and to reunite with her absent mother
