History: Gerald was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Paladin, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Paladin in service of a powerful lord somewhere. Gerald abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

History: She was born several months after her father was called into army service. Her father was a soldier and died while she was still young. Ida was left her father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. After a long history of fighting, Ida and her spouse have recently divorced.
