History: Ella was raised in a hard working conservative environment. Ostracized due to the necromantic powers of her oldest brother, she and her siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Humans became a terror of the countryside. She's also a talented Shipwright, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

History: The child of western immigrants he idolized his mother. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark

Description: A well shaped woman just over fifty, she dresses well, typically a more casual-formal manner. Her red hair is smooth and relatively long. Her amber eyes are passionate and lively.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Ella embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. She also hits on women, regardless of circumstances.

History: From birth she was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Bricklayer. She hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

Motivation: She would like to get married and retire.

He prefers to carry a halberd, but if one is not available he will default to his shield. His red hair is kept up in a ponytail inside a feathered hat. He wears large thick round spectacles.

Personality: He is irascible and easily irritated. He is submissive, is generally bored by everything, but will take part in whatever people ask of him. He is by nature obliging.

History: Roger lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Shoemaker hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

Motivation: Wants to raise his children well; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion
