History: Elysande lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Her mother disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her mother, she was betrayed dozens of times. After a long history of fighting, Elysande and her spouse have recently divorced.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. His father worked until he suffered an accident while they were digging through a hill for a new route. He had to support his now crippled father and took his father's old job. He has worked as a Ruler like his father before him.

History: Born to a Baker, her mother struggled to pay the bills. In her youth she was part of a gang. She got caught, but did not rat out her comrades and served her time in prison. One night she noticed a nearby shooting star which she hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. She has done her darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.
