His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. There was a wharf not far from home where she often wandered off to fish. She now spends her time doing works of charity.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and to reunite with her old friends
