History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. In his 13th year, his parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Kyle alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has since married many spouses, only to have them die. He claims to not be responsible.

History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. From her teen years she was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on her. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Personality: He considers himself a man of culture and sophistication. He likes a good challenge to his wits. He is a thrill seeker, he laughs at people and throws down challenges. He is highly competitive and combative.

History: Born in the north to a Painter, Cory learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
