History: Born in the east to a Mercenary, John learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. He found a children's book about a Human Paladin who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Mercenary for the past few years.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the north were limited. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

Motivation: To end his boredom; and to find somewhere to settle down
