History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Ernest was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. She went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

Description: He is a paragon of his species. He is larger and stronger than most Humans. His skin is light but he possesses many brown ritualistic tattoos. He wears a robe, a symbol of the four houses of cards around his neck, and a ceremonial dagger on his belt. His chestnut hair is greasy and uncared for. Judging by the bloodshot nature of his eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine he has not slept for days.

Personality: He can speak with the recently deceased. More though he will beg to come along on any journeys. He will attempt to stowaway on any ship he can in the hopes that it will get him further away.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. His parents enrolled him in a Paladin school at a young age so that he could practice his psionic talents. Recently a tribe of drow attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Miles fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
