Personality: She is a woman who does what she needs to. She will acquiesce to black mail and extortion to avoid trouble. She believes the world needs to unite to get rid of dire rats once and for all.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. As a young child she wandered into the woods despite her father's warnings against it. Afterwards she claimed she had encountered dire rats who tried to eat her hand. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and she desires to right it; and to find somewhere to settle down

Personality: He is extraordinarily passive and rarely speaks, let alone speaks his mind. He constantly seizes attention wherever he goes and has come to expect this respect from everyone. He likes to think of himself as merciful, but nonetheless is very strict.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his father and mother. His father taught him the rudiments of the Sage arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: Her father raised her in a mountain cabin. She found a children's book about a Human Paladin who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature scimitar.

Motivation: To reunite with her old friends; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark
