His partner is his best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. He is cautious and jumpy. He reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: Conrad was raised in a hard working conservative environment. He found a children's book about a Human Paladin who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Joan grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Joan. She ran away from her former home and has been making her living as a Fortune-teller for the past few years.
