When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Paladin in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He found a children's book about a Human Paladin who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He has dedicated himself to building a better trade route.

Personality: His voice, at times compared to that of a Nymph, lambasts those who consider themselves "civilized" with snide, belittling remarks; the subtle growl he speaks with growing louder in doing so, one can find it most pronounced, despite the otherwise natural purity of his tone. He is a great chef.

History: Gerard was raised in a hard working conservative environment. A gifted student he started as a Barkeep, but he got bored and became a Butcher. He has since married many spouses, only to have them die. He claims to not be responsible.

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. From her teen years she was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on her. She hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure her.
