History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Patrick fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: Wants to open a new tavern; and to share knowledge with the world

He has some compunction and patriotism and will work for the government before all other clients.

History: The child of western immigrants he idolized his mother. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Motivation: He wants to meet his childhood hero; and he's repulsed by the pc

Personality: He is a melancholic, but persistent worker. He resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. He passes on several rewards to people in need. He makes a point to leave places better than he found them.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when goblins swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He married young, but lost his spouse to goblins. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He doesn't get along with people that don't share his tastes; and he feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world
