History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He has never given up on his writing dream.

Personality: Gilbert hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate him. It was this clingy personality that held back his poetry career. The war was a terrible time for him, and Gilbert does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: He was born in the west, but his parents moved at a very young age to the east. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Gilbert grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Gilbert. Recently he has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic woman, Hadwisa's first love is herself. Her second love is also herself. Only to laugh say gotcha and shoot double pistol fingers at the fooled target.

History: She was born at the edge of vast mountains. Her childhood dream was to be a Sculptor, but she was a colossal failure. She has gone from town to town till she finds a spot where she can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: She is a bit of a kleptomaniac; and a rival would like her out of the picture
