History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. When the war came and ruined her parents she was left adrift. She was a hard woman then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. She saw the violence of war and the aftermath so she converted to religion and dedicated herself to non-violence.

Personality: Avelina wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Paladin, so she tries to act the part. She does a good job, for the most part... She does not believe in violence as a means to an end. She is a dedicated Assassin but believes her peers are too gung-ho.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. In her 15th year, her parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Avelina alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.
