History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. Roland was a troubled youth. History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Helen was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. A freak accident while working with her Barkeep mother left her crippled. She hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure her.

Motivation: She has a crush on the local Barkeep.

History: She got into the Spice Merchant business at a young age. She sought a place where she would be rewarded solely on the merits of her skills. This search led her directly into Spice Merchant work with an outfit from a few towns over. Spice Merchant work suited her well, and with each successful project, she earned more gold and more respect from her peers. She has taken up work as a Spice Merchant and fed both sides of the war false information with the goal of increasing casualties.

Personality: Matilda is a sociable creature first and foremost. She loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. She can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. She constantly seizes attention wherever she goes and has come to expect this respect from everyone. She likes to think of herself as merciful, but nonetheless is very strict.

History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. Her father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.
