When his father died while fighting gnolls, the young Randal began to lead the lost caravan. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

History: The child of a Carpenter, who enjoyed hunting, Miles was taken on many hunting expeditions. He worked as a nervous Banker and found it very stressful. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and he wants revenge against goblins

History: Heir to a fortune, her parents put a great deal of effort into curing her disease. Her first spouse was a Jeweler, they had one daughter, but her spouse won total custody. Without her spouse to temper her she grew out of control. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: To reunite with her absent mother.

Description: Relatively heavier built than your average man, he is not imposing. He wears a weathered and beat up set of banded mail beneath an oversized tan coat. His auburn hair is cut jaggedly and amateurishly. He wears large thick round spectacles.

Personality: In the realm of puns, he cannot help himself. He feels obliged to make them. He is motivated by money and will often try and persuade people to work for cheap. He haggles over everything, upselling his goods and buying cheap. He is persistent in everything.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. By chance he met his sister recently and the two have been together since.
