Personality: He is fixated on the number 52. He counts his steps and bites of food to keep in track with it. He seems to be used to being ignored and not questioned about it. He is frequently practicing swordplay.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. Gilbert abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Matilda embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. She also is a firm believer in the womanly ideal.

History: Born in the west to a Performer, Matilda learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. A gifted student she started as a Fortune-teller, but she got bored and became a Performer. She has gone from town to town till she finds a spot where she can set up a sustainable business.

History: She was born into a rich family. Being born in the east, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the east for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way north. She spent several years traveling with her friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Motivation: An old rival family wants her found.
