History: She was born in the west, but her parents moved at a very young age to the east. While she appears to be a normal Human, she's... not quite right. Perhaps she's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that she plain doesn't fit in. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Personality: She hates dire rats. She views them as having robbed her home of its proper glory. Her home and work are filled with various knick knacks she has acquired through the years. She cares a great deal for her adopted teenage son.

History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Her family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The mother sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. She saw this and took pride in her mother's willingness to do anything to win. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her sons to still be retired.

Motivation: Wants to raise her children well; and retire the richest woman in the south

Personality: A deeply religious woman she believes everything happens for a reason. The war was a terrible time for her, and Elysande does not often speak of it. When she does, she does so with a strained expression and tears in her eyes.

History: Born in the south to a Jeweler, Elysande learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. Her family was turned out during the war. She and her family wandered south to less war torn lands. She became a Jeweler soon after.

Motivation: She loathes her own lifestyle; and her religion dominates her actions

Personality: He tends to agree with only himself unless someone else's opinion sounds like he can profit from it. He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Bernard is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: When he was but 5 years old his parents immigrated from the south. Because his father participated in the massacre of their homeland, gnolls burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the south, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his mother from journeying south to reunite his family. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
