History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the plains to a summer home near a old dungeon. He would wander through that old dungeon and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the plains due to the painful memories there. Arnold took refuge in the old dungeon and found the beat up ceremonial dagger and armor he uses now. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

History: He got into the Shepherd business at a young age. He was an apprentice working in his father's forge. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

Personality: Cocky and sure of herself, she believes she is the best Painter born in the past three hundred years. She is obsessed with her god.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. Her mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her mother was legitimate. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: Balancing her hectic life and new Painter responsibilities is difficult.

Description: This slender woman stands about 5'4". She wears many layers of old clothing at all times. Her brown hair is knotted and matted. Her amber eyes lackadaisically let the world flow into them.

Personality: She swings through moods quickly. One moment she is cool and collected, the next she is carried away by passions. She is submissive, is generally bored by everything, but will take part in whatever people ask of her. She is by nature obliging.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Emeny was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
