Description: A woman of a pale complexion, she is bundled in multiple layers and is prepared for a desert trek wearing a turban that covers her face most of the time. She wears her red hair down. Her eyes, though not visible through her cowl, are violet.
Personality: Her tongue was cut out and she uses sign language. She has zero loyalty and will suck up to whomever is within range, in the hopes of being moved to a better position.
History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. She was an adventurer many years ago and she formed a blood bond with her Human companion (her 'brother'). Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by dire rats. Mary was horrified and prayed that her father was alright. However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the dire rats.
Motivation: Wants to work out more often; and to reunite with her old friends

Description: An older woman who is wearing dark clothing and a heavy breastplate, keeping many of her physical features obscured, she is not a threatening figure. Her brown hair has been sun bleached extensively. She has a tattooed face.
Personality: She tends to agree with only herself unless someone else's opinion sounds like she can profit from it. She tries to control her temper but she can't always stop herself from what she feels what must be done. She will do just about anything if she becomes convinced it is for someone's true love, of this she is easily convinced.
History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. She sought a place where she would be rewarded solely on the merits of her skills. This search led her directly into Courier work with an outfit from a few towns over. Courier work suited her well, and with each successful project, she earned more gold and more respect from her peers. She hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure her.
Motivation: She would like to get married and retire; and she is unsatisfied with her job

Description: Relatively heavier built than your average man, he is not imposing. He is constantly adorned with expensive silk clothing, often dyed in bright blue and white, and wears rings and necklaces with large, colorful gems. He sports a flattop hair cut. He wears large thick round spectacles.
Personality: He hates gnolls. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He is susceptible to being scared and is in actuality easily frightened. He likes to tell stories.
History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He tends to his Cook job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.
Motivation: Retire the richest man in the east; and he has money and likes to spend it

Description: He is generally shirtless and showing off his tattooed chest. He has a moderate pudge and is not very fit. His golden hair, when down, is lengthy. His eyes are likewise green. His teeth are yellowed and unaligned.
Personality: He is a man who does what he needs to. He will acquiesce to black mail and extortion to avoid trouble. He pushes his goals aggressively. He is also a coward if confronted.
History: Gifted from a young age, Randal studied abroad. His parents were killed by dire rats in a raid when he was still a young child. The dire rats captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.
Motivation: He wants to meet his childhood hero; and he has decided he is irredeemable
