History: He comes from a rich western family. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. After a long history of fighting, Simon and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.
